Postdoc Position Online Scholarship Application in Mathematical/Computational Oncology


The Online Scholarship Application focus of this unit in the transdisciplinary use of mathematics and physics to model biological phenomena related cancer, to understand better the biological experiments and clinical trials.

Work location is Milan (Italy).

The
Online Scholarship Application successful candidate will have to work on development, the spatio-temporal scale doubles, mathematics and computing realistic models for:

Tumoral angiogenesis and anti-tumor anti-angiogenesis therapy;
Tumor-Immune system interactions and immuno-therapy;
Intracellular signaling pathway of particular relevance to tumor growth and development of anti-tumor therapy.

Online Scholarship Application Interaction with biomedical researchers, who are involved both in clinical and experimental research, will become an integral part of post-doctoral work.

Requirements

PhD in theoretical Physics or Biology or Applied Mathematics;
A good knowledge of biology;
A solid background in both theory and computational aspects of mathematical biology.

While we're certainly not looking for a programmer, a
Online Scholarship Application candidate must have good knowledge about computer programming, and of both the software Matlab or Mathematica. We are seeking a highly motivated scientists who share our passion for cutting edge research in theoretical biology of cancer.
